Very first Update

I just noticed today is just 100 days before September 17,, 2005! And I can't be more excited. Its really been a roller coaster ride, and it still is. There are still a lot of things to accomplish so I have to keep the momentum going! Ok let me try to put everything in paper now so I can see what I am missing:

Church: San Agustin Church
Package already includes the church, flowers and an organist and soloist. Downpayment paid, 50% to be paid at the canonical interview in July 14, balance to be paid 1 month before the event (that makes it August 17, 2005). Additional charges of around 2k to be availed for photo shoot in and around the church. Will have to check if flowers are presentable naman, if it is we will not upgrade the flower package na. Disappointed nga lang ako coz meron na nag-book ng 3pm slot, we are booked on the 4pm slot but we want sana to move it a little bit earlier to give us more picture taking time in between ceremony and reception. But all is well, we’ll just serve cocktails na lang para maprolong ng konti yung photo shoot time namin.

Reception: Manila Polo Club
Reservation fee paid. Need to choose menu so we can already pay 50% in July. Need to schedule a meeting with the representative from Makati Skyline to discuss details of set-up, chairs and tables, linens, plates, flatware and glassware to be used. Medyo particular lang kasi ako here coz it all play an important part on the over-all mood and feel of the reception. My plan is to have very simple cocktails around 5 to 6 or until around 6:30 while we are having our photo shoot. Manila Polo agreed that I can use Willow Tree room for free, it’s a room on the left side of the ballroom facing the large soccer field. I’ll ask Sentimental Groove to provide music na lang during this time. I am also planning to put up a small photo exhibit at the entrance part of the ballroom.

Long tables for the reception: None yet
I am planning to combine long and round tables in the reception to add interest and depth. I'm having a hard time though coz Manila Polo only has round and square tables. I'm now thinking of renting, if my budget will still permit i'd definitely rent, if not then i'd just have to make do with the squares and rounds.

Marriage License: For pick-up on Monday, June 13, 2005
Family Planning seminar: done
Birth certificate for marriage purposes: both done
Confirmation certificate for marriage purposes: both done

Photo: Emil Buencamino
Booked Emil Buencamino, paid downpayment. Our original package includes 2 cam set-up, actually one cam lang and I just added an additional cam. But after much thought, we decided cancel this and book a separate videographer instead. Need to schedule Pre-nup shoot. Need also to schedule a meeting with him to discuss shoot list.

Secondary Photographer: Kix Tavora
50% paid. Balance on the day. Will need to schedule a meeting with him again to discuss shot list, etc.

Video and AVP: Threelogy
Booked Threelogy, downpayment to be paid. Sobrang busy kasi itong sina Threelogy kaya di kami makapag-meet for the down. Will try to make kulit with them para mafinalize na. I’d get their 3-cam set-up with AVP. Shot list needs to be discussed.

Bridal Gown and Barong for Groom: Joel Bautista
33% paid, another 33% to be paid during the first fitting, final payment to be paid upon delivery. Bridal gown currently in production. Groom’s barong, need to finalize the design (burda). What I like about his barongs is that they are one of a kind, the fabric he uses are not mass produced.

Veil: Joel Bautista
Included in the package, will probably upgrade. I saw this picture of a veil with swarovskis and cut glass, super ganda. He said he can do this, much like Assunta’s veil when she got married. I’ll most likely have him make me something like that.

Hair accessories: Joel Bautista .
He have these really nice swarovski hair pins that I really love!

Cord: Joel Bautista
Have seen the cord already made of swarovskis, not 100% happy with it. I’ll talk to him about the things in between (not sure what its called), I want sana something else.

Secondary Veil and Garter: Joel Bautista
Included in his package. Will talk to him to put the excess lace from my gown in the secondary veil, para mas maganda!

Met with him yesterday, June 7, 2005 to discuss cake design and flavours. Design already agreed (flowers and fruits plus gold beads on the 5-layer cake), flavours to be finalized this Saturday, June 11, 2005.

Flutes for wine toasting: Oneida 4-piece champagne flute
Will have our names and date of wedding etched on it.

25% paid, 25% to be paid during the production meeting sometime this month, balance to be paid on the day.

Wedding Rings: Matus Jewelry
Reservation Fee paid, production schedule in July

On the day coordinator: Jody Liwanag of Events Experts
50% paid. Will meet with her around middle June to discuss wedding details. Need to discuss reception program.

Wedding Favors: Orchids
I want to give out something alive kaya I chose orchids. Still looking for other suppliers for this though. Have already talked to one vendor but di ako convinced sa orchids nya, still looking for others. If di na ko makakita baka dito na lang sa original.

Invitations, souvenier tags, missalet cover: Unifair Printing

Missalet: Not yet finalized
Have the soft copy already, just need to print it and submit to SAC for approval. Then for mass production na.

Gifts for the principal sponsors: Not yet finalized
Choosing between Vanda orchids for femal sponsors and wine for male sponsors. I’m having second thoughts though sa wine, I want kasi sana something they can keep eh.

Ento gifts: Not yet finalized
Di ko pa napag-iisipan ito. Baka Vanda orchids na din or a plant.
