Sound Check!
We went to the demo organized by the sentimental groove last saturday at Bean Perk along Boni Ave. We were confused at first because we were expecting to see only sentimental groove, but we were surprised that there were numerous acts who performed. Then at around 10pm, sentimental groove began playing. It turned out, it was a demo not just of sentimental groove but also of different musicians under their umbrella organization. We didn't know that!
Anyways that was ok. At least we now know that there are actually more of them to choose from. There was another band, SOS (Science of Sound), one choir, Magnificat and another group who doesn't have a name yet. We are actually very impressed with this last group. They were composed of three guys... two of them probably in their 50's while one would probably in the his early 30's. This band rocks! They play the best jazz! Was really impressed! We pencil booked them already for our wedding and would pay the reservation in March at the Bridal Expo.
I'm already excited!! Teeheee!!!

Getting Frustrated
Haaayyy... getting frustrated on my calligraphy invites! Have texted and called most of the calligraphers pero most can't do the font I like... huhuhuhu...
I have about three more who hasn't answered my text but I'm getting impatient with them also! What good supplier would not answer immediately a prospective client! Grrrrr!!!
I hope I can find someone who would just be willing to experiment...

Valentines Day
I remember as a kid, during these times, our school project would most likely be valentine decorations. We would be asked to bring red cartolinas and red color papers which we will use to cut-out cupids and hearts of various sizes. We would also be asked to bring red roses that we will offer to Mama Mary.
That was years ago when I was in elementary. The meaning of valentines is not just cut-out heart and cupids anymore, its not about how many roses I receive from my crushes, its not even the hear shaped donut I would buy from Dunkin Donuts. Its about the love I share with my soon to be husband. Its that love which I pray would last us a lifetime, the love that would bind us this September and the love that would produce hopefully two little cuties, our soon to be joys of our lives.

Calligraphy
I've been toying the idea of doing our invites in calligraphy since about middle of last year but I have not really thought or researched about it. I've asked around a bit but to no avail.
I am surfing the net today and remembered that to search for calligraphy and stumbled upon a site that offers calligraphy services. Too bad its based in the US but it did gave me so many ideas!
I have attached here some pictures which I am particularly interested in:
You see I'm inclined to those styles with hand-painted flowers, I just think they look great! I also think that it would cost much more since they are a bit harder to do.
I e-mailed a couple of calligraphers today to ask for quotes on these invites, hope someone out there would give me a price I can afford!

Boracay Fun
Last Jan. 22, Gel and I took our first trip together. Imagine after 8 years of being together this is the first time we will actually have a vacation together! Well its not really a vacation vacation, he actually just tugged along, you see we have a planning session in boracay scheduled for the 24th to the 26th. Well instead of leaving for Boracay on the 23rd, I left with him on the 22nd, spent Saturday, Sunday and half of Monday with him on the beach and had a great time with my soon to be husband! It was such a nice experience walking by the beach with the love of your life on your side... the sunset becomes twice as beautiful! Haaayyy... I can already imagine how our honeymoon would be like!
Three things I especially loved about the trip?
1. The plane ride - its like literally being in the clouds with my husband to be!
2. The sunset - the best sunset I have seen is at Boracay!
3. The scenery - what can I say, its just plain spectacular!
Before this, I was actually thinking of going to a cruise for our Honeymoon, but come to think about it, I think walking by the beach and having a massage after sounds pretty more appealling to me don't you think?
